انطلاقاً من واقع المرأة والأسرة في المجتمع الإسلامي والعالمي، وما يحيط بهما من أخطار ومشكلات، واستشعاراً لخطر العولمة والفكر النسوي الجديد، المتجسد في شكل الاتفاقيات والمؤتمرات الدولية للمرأة، وما يهدفان إليه ضمناً من محو الهوية الإسلامية للأسرة والمرأة؛ فقد كان اهتمام المنظمات والجمعيات النسائية – ذات التوجه الإسلامي – يتجه نحو رصد التحديات والأخطار الخارجية، المتمثلة في المواثيق والمؤتمرات الدولية، والداخلية، المتمثلة في القضايا، والمشكلات، والتشريعات، الناتجة عن تطبيق توصــــــيات تلك المؤتمرات، التي تواجه المرأة والأسرة المسلمة، وما نجم عن تلك القرارات من آثار خطيرة، تمس المجتمع بأسره، وتهدد بالانهيار الأخلاقي والقيمي، وما يتبعه من زيادة المشكلات في نواحي الحياة الأخرى. ولمواجهة هذه التحديات الخارجية والداخلية، كان على هذه المنظمات والجمعيات النسائية الإسلامية أن تقوم بأعمال عديدة، على النطاق المحلي والدولي من أجل مواجهة تحديات توصيات مؤتمرات المرأة الدولية، فكانت الخطوة الأولى ضرورة إنشاء وتشكيل كيانات جديدة، تركز على هذه القضايا. ولأجل هذا؛ فقد أنشئت في السنوات القلائل الماضية، مؤسسات، ومراكز، وائتلافات، ورابطات، وجمعيات إسلامية، تعنى بشؤون المرأة، بعضها يشارك في المؤتمرات الدولية، والإقليمية، والمحلية، وبعضها يقيم مناشط وملتقيات ثقافية مختلفة، مختصة بقضايا المرأة، وبعضها يقدم رؤى، ووثائق إسلامية، خاصة بالمرأة؛ بديلة عما يطرح في تلك المؤتمرات الدولية للمرأة، وبعضها مختص بإجراء الدراسات، والأبحاث، وطباعة الكتب.. الخ. وهذا الكتاب يلقي الضوء على بعض هذه الجهود المباركة، لهذه المنظمات والجمعيات النسائية.
