لقد جاءت هذه الدراسة لتلقي الضوء على مدى إنتشار العنف الوظيفي في مؤسسات القطاع الصحي، تحديداً في المستشفيات، وأنواع العنف السائدة في القطاع الصحي، والتعرف إلى أسباب حدوث مشكلة العنف، والنتائج المترتبة على حدوثها، سعياً لوضع برامج وسياسات عامة للحد منها والقضاء عليها.
وتضمنت الدراسة خمسة فصول: يبحث الفصل الأول في مشكلة الدراسة، وأهميتها، ومبرراتها، ويتضمن الفصل الثاني الإطار النظري للدراسة موضحاً مفاهيم العنف والعنف ضد المرأة والعنف الوظيفي، وأنواع العنف الواقع على المرأة في مكان العمل التي تشتمل على العنف الجسدي، والنفسي بأنواعه.
وجاء الفصل الثالث متضمناً المنهجية المتبعة في إعداد الدراسة من حيث المنهج ومجتمع الدراسة وآلية أخذ العينة وطرق التحليل الإحصائي المتبعة في تحليل البيانات، ويشتمل الفصل الرابع على تحليل البيانات ومناقشاتها من خلال عرض الخصائص النوعية لأفراد عينة الدراسة والخصائص النوعية لأنواع العنف الممارس في مكان العمل.
ويخلص الفصل الخامس إلى مناقشة النتائج وتحليلها وربطها بالدراسات السابقة...
