هذا الكتاب، كتاب "التنبيه والرد على أهل الأهواء والبدع " عبارة عن مخطوطة نادرة وجدت في دار الكتب الظاهرية بدمشق، وهو من تأليف " أبي الحسن محمد بن أحمد الملطي الطرائقي العسقلاني رضي الله عنه ". وهذه هي الطبعة الأولى منه تعرض على أنظار أهل المعرفة بالعلوم الإسلامية من الكتب القديمة التي ألفها أهل السنة والحديث رداً على مخالفيهم من أهل المذاهب وهو جمّ الفوائد بإحتوائه على كثير من مقالات الناس لا يجدها طالب العلم في سواه من الكتب ومن ذلك خاصة ما نقله المؤلف من كتاب الإستقامة في الرد على أهل الأهواء لأبي عاصم خشيش بن أحرم النسائي لأنه لا يوجد كتاب أقدم عهداً منه ليخبرنا عن الفرق الإسلامية. تأتي أهمية هذا المرجع الديني " كتاب التنبيه " من كونه يخبرنا عن أقوال الفرق والرد عليها، فيبدأ المؤلف أبو الحسين الملطي بذكر أقوال الرافضة والمعتزلة والمرجئة والشراة والخوارج، ثم يعرض في الفصل الأخير الحجج على مخالفي أهل السنة والحديث من الجهنمية وغيرهم من أهل المذاهب ونقل لنا ذلك من كتاب الإستقامة في الرد على أهل الأهواء لخشيش بن أحرم. وخشيش هذا كنيته أبو عاصم ونسبته النسائي. كتاب هام، ويقظ من غفل من المسلمين بأن كل علم إدعاه العباد لم يوجد في الكتاب والسنة فهو بدعة وضلالة ولا ينبغي لأحد أن يعمل به أو أن يدعوا إليه.
