يشمل هذا الكتاب بين دفتيه على تجربة جديدة في مجال رسوم القصص المصورة بالعربية، فعلى خلاف ما تعودناه في مجلات الأطفال والناشئة من قصص تتوجه بالأساس إلى الصغار، فإن الفنان الإماراتي خالد الجابري يوجّه قصصه إلى الكبار.
ولأن خالد بدأ علاقته المنتظمة بالرسم مع الكاريكاتير، حيث عمل ينشر رسومه في جريدة الخليج وغيرها من الصحف الإماراتية منذ عام 2002، فإن قصصه المصورة تتسلح بروح الكاريكاتير وتلامس القضايا الاجتماعية بحس نقدي يجلب البسمة لشفاه القراء دون أن ينسى واجبه في الإمتاع البصري.
وفيما تسلط هذه القصص الضوء على عدد من القضايا الشائكة في المجتمع الإماراتي مثل ظاهرة العنوسة وقيمة العمل، فإنها تفعل ذلك بريشة الفنان وليس بمشرط الجراح، لتضع علامات الاستفهام أمام هذه الظواهر أكثر مما تطرح الإجابات.
