عبد الحميد الغرباوي قاص وروائي ومترجم ويمارس أيضا الفن التشكيلي، من مواليد مدينة الدار البيضاء بالمغرب سنة 1952.
بدأت كتاباته تظهر على أعمدة الصحف في أواسط السبعينات من القرن الماضي.
اشتغل في مجال الصحافة لسنوات كمحرر و مشرف على الصفحة الثقافية اليومية لجريدة البيان.
كما عمل ضمن مجموعة تحرير الملحق الثقافي الأسبوعي لجريدة بيان اليوم.
ساهم في انطلاقة المجلة الثقافية" خطوة" مع الكاتب و الباحث المسرحي أكويندي سالم.
توقف بعد صدور ثلاثة أعداد منها فقط.
عمل بالصحافة المكتوبة لسنوات، ثم اختار مهنة التعليم في القطاع الخاص.
وهو عضو اتحاد كتاب المغرب منذ سنة1983، صدرت له أكثر من عشر مجموعات قصصية و أربع روايات، و له في الترجمة: الكيميائي لباولو كويلهو (2005)، و الأمير الصغير لسان إكزيبيري و العديد من المجموعات القصصية الخاصة بالأطفال، كما أصدر في اللغة سلسلة المعين في التراكيب و افعراب و الإنشاء و الصرف و الإملاء، و له قاموس عربي عربي و كتاب المعين في تراجم الشعراء و الأدباء، كما يشرف على موقعين خاصيتن بالقصة و الشعر(المحلاج) و (وتريات).
