بَلش المّوضُوع كُله في سَنِة ال 2012 لمّا إجت الفِكرة مِن صَفحِة ناس نيُويورك على الفِيس بوك. شُعور إنك تقَرِب مِن ناس عَشوائين مَا عُمرك إلتقيت فِيهُم وتِسمَع قِصصهُم وتجارِبهُم بالحَياة مِن دُون مَا تركِز على عِرقهُم, جِنسهُم أو لُونهُم هُو شُعور جِداً رائِع. طبقنا الفكرة وبَلشِنا فوراً بالتَصويِر, واِنضَم للمّشروع ناس مآمنيِن وحابين الفِكرة و كّبِر و صَارت هاي الصُور والقِصص مِحَور لصَفحة حَيّوية على الفِيس بُوك بِتقَدِم جُزء مِن مُقتطفات الحّياة اليَومِية مَا بيِن شَرق المّدِينة القَدِيم وغَربها الحَديث لِناس عايشة في عمّان ومحافظات الأردُن كلها مَا بِنعرِف عَنهُم أي إشي. مَرّينا بِكتير مِن العثرات والمَصاعِب لَحتى قدِرنا نُوصل لَهُون, صار مَشروع ناس عمّان جُزء كبير ومُهِم مِن حياتنا اليّومية, إنك تِصحَى مِن النُوم كُل يُوم الصُبح لَتعِيش مُغامرة جديدة وتقابِل وتِسمع قصص النّاس يلي بِتقابِلهُم بِشوارِع المَدينة وتِتعلم مِنهُم هُو أحلى شُعور مُمكن إنه الواحَد يِعيشُه. والأحلى مِن هِيك, إنه عَم نوّصِل شُو عَم نِعمِل ونشارِك النّاس والعالم بِتجربتنا مّع ناس عايشة في عمّان والأردُن. كِتاب نَاس عمّان هُو ثِمرة رِحلِتنا الطَويلِة والجَميلِة في شّوارِع مَديِنتا العريقة يلي مِن خِلالها قدِرنا نِلتقط المُقطتفات اليّومية لَناس زَينا وزِيكُم حَبّوا يِشاركُونا قِصَصهم وتَجارِبهُم بالحّياة. بِنحِب نُشكُر كُل مِين شَجعنا, آمن فينا ودَعم الِمّشروع وبنِتمنى إنكُم تِستَمتِعوا بالكِتاب مِتل مَا إحِنا إستَمتعنا فِيه وإحنا عَم نِشتِغل عليه. كل الحب.
it all started in 2012 when the Humans of New York page on Facebook inspired us to start our own project, the idea itself is astonishing! To approach random people without focusing on gender, race or color and listen to their stories and life experiences is just wonderful. The Facebook page was created and we started taking pictures straight away. Taken together, these portraits and captions became the subject of a vibrant page on Facebook where they started to provide a worldwide audience with daily glimpses into the lives of strangers on the streets of Amman and Jordan. We've been through a lot of ups and downs, rejection from people but at the same time a lot of people have welcomed, loved and wanted to be part of this great project. We're definitely having the time of our lives. To wake up every morning to a new adventure is the best feeling ever, there is so much to experience, discover and learn from the people we meet in the busy chaotic streets of the city, and what's even better is that we get to share what we do with the rest of the world. A long worthwhile journey of capturing the daily glimpses of the lives of strangers living in Amman, Jordan has resulted in this book. We'd like to thank all those who, through words and gestures of encouragement have believed in and supported this project through its lengthy gestation. We hope you enjoy the book as much as we did.
