لا شك أنك لاحظت في الآونة الأخيرة، كثرة ظهور لاعبي الخفة على المسارح، وشاشات السينما، والتلفزيون.. ولا شك أيضاً أنك قرأت أو سمعت إعلانات تتضمن دعوات لحضور حفلات غنائية يشترك فيها فلان وفلان من المطربين، بالاشتراك مع "الساحر" فلان، وربما كان هذا "الساحر" ضيف الشرف في هذه الحفلات!
ومن أجل ترغيب الناس بحضور الحفلات، يسمي صاحب الإعلان "لاعب الخفة" "ساحراً". ومع ما في هذه التسمية من غش وخداع، فإنه يسمح لنفسه بهذه التسمية من أجل استقطاب العدد الأكبر من المتفرجين، وبالتالي من أجل ربح أكبر كمية من الأموال. والشيء الخطر في هذا الموضوع أن بعض السذج من الناس يصدقون هذه الإعلانات، لأن أعمال الخفة التي يقوم بها أصحابها تنطلي عليهم، فيظنون أنها من السحر.
وللكتاب الذي بين يدينا فائدة مزدوجة، فهو، من ناحية، يكشف أسرار ألعاب الخفة، وأكاذيب من يدعي السحر، وأضاليل المشعوذين، وهو من ناحية ثانية، يهدف إلى التسلية وملء أوقات الفراغ بأشياء مسلية ومفيدة في الوقت نفسه.
وعليه، تضمن الكتاب خمسين لعبة من الألعاب الخفية التي يقدمها بعض من يدعون السحر، وركز على كشف أسرار هذه الألعاب وخفاياها.
وفي الباب الثاني كشف حيل بعض المنومين المغناطيسيين. وفي الباب الثالث أثبت بعض ألعاب معرفة الأرقام والأعمال وغير ذلك. وفي الباب الرابع أثبت بعض الألعاب الخفية بورق اللعب (الكوتشينة). وفي الباب الخامس أثبت بعض الغرائب التي تكاد لا تصدق، وفي الباب السادس، أثبت بعض الأحاجي في الذكاء تحت عنوان "مسائل شبه مستحيلة"، ثم حلّها بالتفصيل.
لا شك أن كلاً منا قد حضر جلسة "سحرية" من نوع ما، سواءً أكان ذلك حضوراً شخصياً أم على شاشة التلفزيون. ونحن مقتنعون أن الساحر الذي يقوم بالعرض يمارس علمية خداع ناجحة للحضور. فهم يعرفون أنهم مخدوعون، وإن كانوا لا يملكون الوسيلة لتكذيب ما يشاهدون.
هذا الكتاب يكشف أكاذيب من يدعي السحر وأضاليل المشعوذين، كما يكشف أسرار ألعاب الخفة وحيل بعض المنومين المغناطيسيين.
