في بداية الدعوة الإسلامية كانت قلوب المسلمين متعلقة بالله سبحانة وتعالى متعطشه للقياه في اللآخرة.. عاشوا الدنيا طرياُ يوسلهم إلى الآخرة في نهايته ولكن ما أفسد. إلا من رحم ربى، ومن بين الناس إختص طائفه نفسهم ببعدهم عن الدنيا وغروروها وذوبانهم في حب الله. فعاشوا حياة الزهد هولاء هم " المتصوفون" الذين نقترب منهم فى هذا الكتاب" مناقب سيدى أحمد البدوى لمؤلفه (عبد الصمد) داعى الخضرة الأحمدية هذا الكتاب قام بتحقيقه وإزاله المشكوك في صحته ونسبته منه الدكتور(احمد عبد الرحيم السايح) والمستشار (توفيق على وهبة) للإستفادة من منافعه و إزالة ما دس فيه من أضرار. وقد إحتوى الكتاب على ذكر نسبه - الشيخ البدوى - ومشايخه وكراماته ومواقفه مع بعض الشيوخ أو بعض القضايا الديينة . كذلك يحتوى على ذكر من وصاياه وأخيراً قصائد منسوبة إليه.
