وحين أفاق مايكل هذه المرة وجد نفسه يرقد في فراش نظيف، قديم ورث ولكنه نظيف، تطلع إلى الحجرة من حولة فوجد منضدة صغيرة بالإضافة إلى سريره وهي كل ما تحتويه الحجرة، بابها مزود بنافذة صغيرة مغلقة تفتح من الخارج، فكر في محاولة فتح الباب، ولكنه توقف بعد أن جال بذهنه أن كل ما سيفعله هو أنه سينبههم إلى استيقاظه واستعادته لوعيه..
أدرك سخافة الفكرة عندما لمح تلك الكاميرا في ركن الحجرة في نفس اللحظة التي كان مقبض الباب فيها يدور لبفتح.. برز من الباب رجلان، أحدهما قوي مفتول العضلات والآخر شاب وسيم تجاوز الثلاثين من عمره بأعوام قليلة، بحث مايكل ببصره عن الشاويش اللعين الذي مازال رأسه يدور من لكماته حتى الآن، ولكن لم يبد له أي آثر.. قال الشاب الوسيم: أنا مش عايزك تزعل يا مايكل، الشاويش عبد المحسن اتصرف من دماغه، هو مقلكش كان بيضربك ليه؟.
