الفصل الثالث: البعد التاريخي للمهارات، وفيه يناقش بعض الحكم المصرية والأمثال الشعبية موضحاً أبعاد المهارات فيها.
الفصل الرابع: البعد الديني للمهارات الإجتماعية، وفيه يعرض المؤلف لموقع المهارات في كل من الإسلام والمسيحية.
الفصل الخامس: المدرسة وتنمية المهارات الإجتماعية، وفيه يبرز الدور التربوي في تنمية المهارات الإجتماعية، ويأبى الكاتب إلا أن يفيد قارئه أقصى فائدة ممكنة، فيردف الكتاب بعدد من الملاحق التي تشتمل على أدوات للتقويم والقياس تجعل الحديث ذا طابع عملي والتفكير ذا طابع إجرائي ومن ثم فالفائدة محققة بمشيئة الله.
