لم يحظَ كتابٌ على وجه الأرضِ عنايةً واهتماماً، قِراءةً وحِفظاً بما حظيَ القرآن الكريم، كلامُ الله تعالى. ولمَّا كان علم القِراءات أفضلَ العلوم وأشرفَها على الإطلاق؛ لتعلُّقه بكتاب الله تعالى المنزَّل..فقد اتجهت هِممُ العلماء إلى العناية بهـذا العلم الشريف؛ فألفوا فيه ــ نظماً ونثراً ــ تآليف بديعة،وتصانيفَ رفيعة، تدلُّ علىٰ مكانة هـٰذا الكتاب العظيم في نفوسهم.
ومن جملة الإسهامات في العناية بالتنزيل الحكيم: ما صاغه الحافظ الحجة المجود طاهر بن عرب بن إبراهيم الأصفهاني في منظومته المسماة: « القصيدة الطاهرة في القراءات العشر ». فكانت هـٰذه المنظومة تحفة فريدة، وعقداً ثميناً يتحلىٰ به قراء هـٰذه الأمة.
وناسجها هو ذو المكانة العلمية الشهيرة، حتىٰ قالت فيه سلمى بنت ابن الجزري: ( كان آية في استحضار القراءات عجيبة، غاية في استنباط النكت الغريبة، انتفع به الناس، وزال بتحقيقه وتدقيقه عن أهل هـٰذا العلم الشريف كثير من الالتباس ).
وقد بذل المحقق جهداً مشكوراً في إخراج هـٰذه المنظومة على النحو المطلوب، وحلاها بمقدمة وتعليقات منيرة.
