هذا الكتاب: هو ملخص لمواقف وحوادث حصلت في حياتي رأيتها بعيني أو سمعتها من أبي بأذني، أبي الذي كان بكل معنى الكلمة نموذجاً للأب الصالح ونموذجاً للعالم الرباني المخلص العابد الزاهد.
جاء صباح 12 شباط 2018 - دخلت غرفته في المستشفى وجدت قد وضعت ملصقات كُتب عليها "جثة عثمان محمد حلبي" جاهزة ليلفوا بها جسده الطاهر.
أعظم مصيبة مرت علي في حياتي، فقدت الوالد والمربي والأخ والصديق والحنون والأستاذ الذي كنا نُرحم من الله تعالى ونُحترم من الناس بسببه، وكان العون لنا في كل شدة، رحمه رحمة واسعة.
هذا اليوم الحزين بالنسبة لنا ولكن بالتأكيد هو يوم فرح لأبي - هذا اليوم كنت أتهيبه منذ طفولتي وأقول أني لن أتحمله إن حص ولكن الحمد لله الذي صبَّرنا على فراقه وهدى قلوبنا.
رغم ألمنا الكبير على فراقه واحتياجنا إليه في المعضلات ورغم شوقنا له لكن عزاؤنا معرفتنا بأنه كان صالحاً وقد وقر على ربٍ كريم رحيم رحمن يحب عباده خاصة من نشأ منهم في طاعة الله تعالى وشاب شعره في الإسلام وهرم على ذلك.
أسأل الله عزّ وجلّ أن يثبتني على خطه وأن يلحقنا به ﴿وَالَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُمْ بِإِيمَانٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ﴾ جعلنا الله تعالى ذرية يفتخر بها وتلحق به إلى جنات النعيم.
