"تندرجُ رحلةُ يكرمي سكز تحتَ ما يُسمى في الأدبِ التُّركيّ بِسِفَارتْنامَه، وهي بالأصل تقارير يقدِّمها السَّفيرُ العثمانيُّ إلى السُّلطانِ وكبارِ رجالِ الدَّولةِ في نهايةِ المهمَّةِ السِّفاريةِ. وتعدُّ رحلة يكرمي سكز واحدة من أهمّ هذه الرحلات؛ كون صاحبها هو أول سفير عثماني لدى فرنسا. ونجد في هذه الرحلة وصفاً ممتعاً لما كانت عليه فرنسا في تلك الحقبة من النواحي العمرانية والصناعية والعسكرية والاقتصادية والسياسية والاجتماعية وغير ذلك. وقد استغرقت هذه الرحلة سنة كاملة، فبدأت 17 أكتوبر سنة1720 وانتهت في 7 أكتوبر سنة 1721م.
