"رسائل الحب والحرب"، قصة حب بدأت في دمشق وانتهت في القدس، وما بينهما رسائل شوق محملة بأطواق الياسمين كتبتها العاشقة ثريا إلى المقاوم يُعرب وانتظرت خمسون عاماً ليعود ويقرأها، وعندما شاء القدر أن يعود كانت قد ارتحلت، لتُنشر رسائلها رواية بعد أن اكتملت فصولها بقدرٍ قادم أضفى عليها لقاء من بعد غيابٍ وانتظار.
من أجواء الرواية نقرأ: "كان نقاشُهُما حول ترتيب جدول تواريخ وأماكن حفلات توقيع روايتيهما معاً.. رواية "شمس القدس" ورواية "رسائل الحُب والحرب بين القدس ودمشق".. في كلتا الروايتين كان العجوز تائهاً، وفي "شمس القدس" كان ذاكَ القَبَسُ من النور الذي جاء بها من دمشق إلى القدس مروراً بجبل اللويبدة، وحلب، ونابلس.. ليَجِدَها وتَجِده من بحثٍ غير مُسبق العلم لكليهما، فكان مُسبقاً بشعور الحنين وصلاً بلا ميعاد، قرأتْ روايته حتى الختام.. التمستْ ببصيرتها وهج الضياء في صحراء التيه.. كان عجوزاً ضالاً، وهي لم تعرفهُ من قبل إلا شاباً لم يعجز في حكاية وذكريات ثريا...".
