Book Description
This paper analyzes the survey results, as well as 76 semi-structured interviews conducted by the author. It finds that the UAE stands out as an attractive investment destination, combining high-quality business services, political stability, an attractive life style and tax havens for companies in all sectors, except oil and banking. Although the survey focuses on the UAE, the results provide insights relevant to FDI policies in other GCC oil-exporting countries with similar environments for FDI.
The survey questionnaire covers the characteristics of respondents and their companies, as well as the determinants of FDI in the UAE.
