تبرز لغة (الأنا) / الشاعرة بوضوح في قصائد عبد الرحمن سابي المعنونة "أناني .. التي أريد" التي يضعها مقابل (الأنت) فتحضر تلك الفتاة العاشقة بصمتها الفائض من روحها، وتزين حياة الشاعر بأجمل معاني الحب والعطاء، ما يعني تحول الشعر إلى رؤية قيمية توحد الذات والآخر معاً، وقد صاغها الشاعر من منظومة المعاني المرتبطة بجوهر النفس البشرية، الساعية نحو صبوة روحية تحلّق في سماء العشق وناسوته الذس لا ينضب ما بقيت الحياة.
في القصيدة المعنونة "وحي من لم يكتمل" يقول الشاعر:
"الرقصُ / فاكهةُ النساء / وأنا أحبك / يا بلح / بدايةُ سطري / فراغٌ / وانتِ / من يمنحني / نفساً / أعمق / من هذي الأرض / ومن فيها / كي أبرأ منها / بسلام / مذ تعلمت/ خطاي / وأنا / أبحثُ عنكِ / عند باب الجنان / سأسأل / اين أنتِ / وفي أي جنة / ما لم يكن منكِ الصباحُ / فلا أغاني / تستفيق ...".
"أناي التي أريد" قصائد غزلية، تنتصر للحب، حيث يبلغ أقصاه، فيقدر ما هو ملموس في حياة الكائن الحيّ ، بقدر ما هو روحاني ورومانسي في حياة الشاعر / الإنسان.
يضم الكتاب قصائد في الشعر العربي الحديث وأخرى في الشعر الموزون والمقفى جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "وجه آخر للورع" ، "بالورد أشنق" ، "رائحة للجحود" ، "نخب" ، "تمرد" ، "معادلة" ، "تصوف" ، "نحب الغناء" ، "خيانات" (...) وقصائد أخرى.
