Cet ouvrage constitue ainsi une introduction necessaire a la connaissance de Mohammed et des pratiques musulmanes quotidiennes.
Publie en 1918, a faible tirage, ce livre etait illustre d'une maniere exquise par Etienne Dinet qui a evoque le personnage de Mohammed par la representation de scenes de la vie de tous les jours, chaque chapitre ayant ete, par ailleurs, introduit avec une citation du Coran superbement calligraphiee en arabe.
