ولأنه ثمة الكثير من المواقف والرؤى والتحليلات حول أدوار علماء الدين في الحياة السياسية والنضالية، ولأنه هناك الكثير من البخس لبعضهم على الأقل. تأتي محاولة الكاتب سليم الحسني لاكتشاف أوالية التحولات التي عصفت بإيران وبلاد الرافدين في تلك الفترة –ذات أهمية- من هنا أمعن الكاتب بتسليط الضوء على الحركة الدستورية فدرسها بعواملها ومؤثراتها، وبخاصة ما دار حول شخصية علمائية كبيرة هي شخصية السيد كاظم اليزدي، وليطلَ أكثر على ثورة العشرين في رؤية أكثر وضوحاً. كل ذلك يأتي بهدف إبراز الموقف الشيعي من الظاهرة الاستعمارية، وهو الموقف الذي أخذ أنماطاً عديدة من المواجهة والعقل التاريخي؛ لكنها تتجمع في هدف واحد هو مواجهة الهجمة الاستعمارية...
