هذا الكتاب يبين للقارىء المسلم ما يستغلق عليه فهمه وهو يقرأ كتاب الله تعالى فهو يقدم شرح ومعاني كلمات جزء "قد سمع" بأيسرما يكون الأسلوب ليتسنى للقارىء المتعبد الوقوف على معنى هذه الكلمات المباركات، وفي سبيل ذلك يرد الكتاب الكلمة القرآنية إلى أصولها ومصادرها اللغوية لبيان اشتقاقها كما وردت في بعاجم اللغة وفي معاجم القرآن ويستقصى معانى الكلمة في العديد من كتب التفسير قديمها وحديثها، ولم يورد في شرح ومعاني جزء قد سمع من الآراء إلا أرجحها، وما أتفق عليه جمهورية العلماء، ولم يثبت من الأحاديث النبوية الشريفة إلا الصحيح الثابت منها.
