(لاوديسيا) أو لاوديكيا تسمية أطلقها سلوقس نيكاتور على خمس مدن أخرى تيمناً بوالدته: لاوديكي، وسميت لاوديسيا على البحر تمييزاً لها عن باقي المدن الأخرى المشابهة لها، كما بنى: (ثلاث مدن تحمل اسم زجته الفارسية الأصل أفاميا، ست عشرة مدينة تحمل اسم أنطاكيا تيمنا باسم والده أنطوخيوس، تسع مدن تحمل اسم: سلوقيا نسبة له).
أين كان الأكروبول في المدينة؟ ماذا يتضمن؟ كيف قُسّمت المدينة إلى أحياء؟ ما هو النظام العمراني المتّبع في تخطيطها؟ ما أبعاد الشوارع الرئيسية والفرعية فيها؟ هل توّسعت لاوديسيا لاحقاً في عصر الرومان؟ ما هي ميزات المدينة التنظيمية والعمرانية وما هي المشيدات التي أضيفت لها في العصر الروماني؟...
