وقد استهلّ جان - كلود مارغرون، المدير الفخري للمعهد التطبيقي للدراسات العليا وللبعثة الأثرية الفرنسية في ماري، نصّ اندريه بارّو الأصلي المعزَّز بالوثائق الفوتوغرافية الملوَّنة بمعظمها بتقديم جديد وأضاف إليه لائحة مراجع مُحدَثة.
