يحتوي هذا الكتاب الذي نقلب صفحاته على تحقيق لطيف أعده "سلمان هادي آل طعمة" على مخطوطة نفسية في "تشريح بدن الإنسان" عثر عليها في خزائن كربلاء, وهي تعود للطبيب الجرجاني "أبو سهل عيسى بن يحيى المسيحي" الذي اشتهر باطلاعه الواسع في العلوم الطبية, لا سيما زيادة معلوماته بتشريح الإنسان, فقد تكشفت له حقائق تشريحية كثيرة خلال دراسته زادت من معرفته بالبحث عن كيفية أجزاء البدن وترتيبها من العروق, والأعصاب, والغضاريف, والعظام, واللحم, وغير ذلك من أحوال كل عضو, ثم الأمراض التي تنجم عنها, وحفظ صحتها, ومعالجة تلك الأمراض معالجة صائبة, فهو لم يترك في مصنفه صغيرة أو كبيرة إلا أحصاها.
ولعل أوضح ما يميز به الرجل في منهجية بحثه هو دقة ملاحظته, وتخيره للمسائل والمشكلات العويصة ومعالجتها بروح علمية مجّردة. ولئن كان لنا أن نميزه بصفة خاصة عن علماء عصره, لقلنا أنه كان موسوعياً, كثير المعرفة, شارك في أكثر من علم, واستطاع أن برز في الطب, والحكمة, والخط العربي, وله من العمر أربعون عاماً.
وبالرجوع إلى عمل المحقق نجد أنه يتحلى بـ: أولا: ًقام بضبط النص بما يتناسب وفهمه, حيث قام بضبط الكلمات إلى أوردها تحت عنوان بعض الخصائص الإملائية للمخطوط. ثانياً: قام بتفسير كل نقطة يفتقد إلى معرفتها المبتدئون, مستعيناً بمعاجم اللغة, وكتب الطب وغيرها. ثالثاً: جعل في آخر الكتاب فهرساً يضم محتوى جسم الإنسان, موضوعات الكتاب, المصادر التي استعان بها في تحقيق الكتاب.
