لا يخفي على الباحث البصير العارف بأمور الدين والعقيدة، أن جملة من التأليفات والتصنيفات والتحقيقات التي كتبت في معرفة شخصية أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام، قد اتخذت في طيات بحوثها جوانب عديدة من تلكم الشخصية الفذة، فتارة تميزت بالسرد التأريخي وعبرت عن جانب من تلك الشخصية الربانية، وأخرى تميزت بالتحليل العلمين أو المقارنة العلمية والفكرية لحياته عليه السلام المملوؤة بالعظات والعبرة الإنسانية، والتي تمثلت في كافة المستويات الحياتية سواء القيادية منها أو السياسية أو الروحية أو العلمية أو العقائدية.
على أن هذا الكتاب قد اختلف في أطروحته من عدة زوايا في بحث الشخصية الروحية والمقامات الملكوتية لأمير المؤمنين. حيث استفاد المؤلف في كثير من الوجوه الدقيقة والأسرار المبحوثة والمطروحة في المقام من خلال الأمور المسموعة من الحجج الطاهرين عليهم السلام، أو من خلال الاستنباط الذي اعتمد عليه أولاً وقبل كل شيء من خلال الاستمداد والعون من أرواحهم القدسية، بالتوسل إلى الله تعالى بهم عليه السلام وبمقاماتهم العلمية، للتدبر في القرآن واستخراج بعض أسراره وحكمه، وبالإضافة إلى ذلك الاعتماد على التدبرات المعتمدة في أطروحاتها على الأصول والقواعد العقلية والنقلية التي لا بد من الرجوع إليها حال التصنيف والتأليف والاستنباط.
على أن الأسرار المطروحة في القرآن الكريم، وأحاديث عدل القرآن عليهم السلام قسمان أحدهما عام والآخر خاص، وما طرح في هذا الكتاب من القسم العام الذي هو لمن يتحمل كلامهم وحديثهم ومعرفتهم بالمعرفة النورانية، أما القسم الخاص من الأسرار المودعة في هياكلهم التوحيدية فيعجز أن يظهر قلم، فهو مخصوص بالكمل من أصحابهم عليهم السلام.. وعلى هذا الأساس جاء هذا الكتاب ليمثل انعطافة أخرى في معرفة مقامات وأسرار الله في خلقه الإمام علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام...
