هاتان مسرحيتان للشاعر الكبير فيديريكو غرسية لوركا حاول فيهما ان ينهل من أكثر من نبع استاطيقي، وتتميز أعماله المسرحية التحديد في أكثر من اتجاه، وهى – رغم بساطة الخط الدرامي- غنية في مكوناتها المسرحية، وتشتمل على عناصر سوريالية، فهي ثمرة تمثل متعمق لمبادئ عالم لوركا الخصوصي كما يكرس في المسرح تقنية "المنولوج الداخلي" ومن هنا تتناول مسرحية " حتى تمضي خمس سنوات" تيمة فشل الرجل في الحب وما يترتب على ذلك من الحرمان العاطفي وعدم الانجاب. اما مسرحية "ماريانا بينيدا" فإنها تدور حول هذه الشخصية التاريخية التى عاشت في الثلث الأول من القرن الماضي والتى تحولت إلى سيرة ضخسية تغنى بها الجميع في شوارع غرناطة واصبحت منقوشة في ذاكرة لوركا منذ صغره.
