ويتحدث عن العائدات التجارية من خلال موانئ البحر الأحمر، وسياسة الإحتكار التي مارستها دولة المماليك الثانية فيه، إلى جانب عدد من القضايا المهمة المتعلقة بهذا الموضوع، كأساليب التعامل التجاري في الموانئ، وأنواع السلع المتبادلة فيه، ومصادرها التي قدمت منها، والتنافس التجاري الذي شهدته تلك المرحلة بين موانئ البحر الأحمر.
