أيمن بكر ناقد وأكاديمي مصري من مواليد 1969 حاصل على الدكتوراه من جامعة القاهرة، يعمل حاليا أستاذا مساعدا للأدب والنقد في جامعة الخليج للعلوم والتكنولوجيا بالكويت؛ له عدة كتب في النقد الأدبي منها السرد في مقامات الهمذاني (1998)، وتشكلات الوعي وجماليات القصة (2002)، وقصيدة النثر العربية (2009).

لقد عرف المصريون أنفسهم أخيرًا، وتحركوا بما يليق بمكانة مصر وتاريخها ومكوناتها الحضارية، تمكن الشعب المصري من الإمساك بقوت وإقامة العدل؛ خلع نظاماً دكتاتورياً ظن لعقود طويلة ثقيلة أن الأرض بزرعها وشعبها قد خضعت لمشيئته وتصوراته العقلية، وأنه متحكم في كل شئ كإنه مطلق القوة لا يشبهه أحد من آلهة الوليمب المسكينة، التي كانت تخضع أحياناً لإرادة البشر وتقر بهزيمتها وبأخطائها أحياناً أخرى، كان نظاماً دكتاتورياً خرافياً لايمكنه الحياة إلا في أساطير الأمم العابرة، لقد أصبح من الصعب جداً.. وربما من المستحيل على أية سلطة حالية مهما كان جبروتها أن تتلاعب بمقدرات الشعب المصري، الذي أنضجته سنوات القهر، وثورة فريدة من نوعها.
يعد هذا الكتاب إستكمالاً لمشروع بدأ بكتاب: "المفكر الرقاصة"؛ من تفاصيل ثقافة منهارة/2007 يقدم فيه الدكتور أيمن بكر تحليلاً ثقافياً يكشف مدى الإنهيار الذي وصلت إليه الثقافة المصرية في ظل نظام مبارك، والكتاب الحالي يقدم في قسمه الأول تحليلاً لنماذج من الخطابات التي كانت تصنع درعاً واقياً حول النظام السابق في السياسة والإعلام والفن، وهي خطابات مارست مناورات معقدة بهدف تزييف الوعي والتلاعب بالعقول وإخفاء الواقع المخيف تحت رداء من الألوان الزاهية وأحسب أن الوعي بآليات هذه الخطابات ضروري الآن لضمان عدم ظهورها مرة أخرى، أما القسم الثاني من الكتاب فقد اكتمل أثناء ثورتي تونس ومصر وبعدهما محاولاً التوثيق والتحليل لما حدث وما يمكن أن يحدث في السنوات القادمة.
