عماد عبد السلام رؤوف (بغداد 1948-) مؤرخ ومحقق و مفكر عراقي.
ولادته ونشأته
ولد عماد عبد السلام رؤوف العطار في بغداد سنة 1367هـ/1948م، من عائلة موصلية الأصل عباسية النسب وتلقى علومه الأولية فيها.
دراسته
دخل كلية الآداب في قسم التاريخ وتخرج فيها عام 1970م. ثم واصل دراسته العليا في جامعة القاهرة ونال شهادة الماجستير في التاريخ الحديث عام 1973م، عن رسالته (ولاية الموصل في العهد الجليلي 1749-1834). ونال شهادة الدكتوراه عام 1976م في الجامعة ذاتها عن رسالته (الحياة الاجتماعية في العراق في عهد المماليك 1750-1831).

Book Description
يقدم هذا الكتاب دراسة تاريخية عن الشواهد الأثرية للقبور الكائنة في المقبرة السلطانية في قلعة العمادية، وهذه المقبرة تعد من أهم وأقدم المقابر الخاصة بالأسرة البهدينانية في المدن والقلاع من عصر الإمارة (القرن الثامن للهجرة) . تضم أرض المقبرة رُفات مؤسسيها الأوائل، يذكرها الكتاب، ومن القبور القديمة التي كانت فيها قبر "عز الدين بن سراج الدين" وهو أبو ملك خليل الذي دخل العمادية، فكان أول من حكمها من أسرته في النصف الأول من القرن الثامن للهجرة (14م). كذلك ضمت المقبرة قبور الأسرة الحاكمة، فمن تولى الحكم فعلاً أو من أقربائهم أيضاً من ضريح السلطان حسين الولي المتوفي سنة 981ه والأخرى ضمت ضريح روشن خان بنت الأمير إسماعيل باشا الأول المتوفاة سنة 1202ه. وفي الكتاب يذكر المؤلفان ما كُتب على الشواهد من كلمات وعبر وحكم بالإضافة إلى وصف تلك الشواهد التي هي جميعها عن حجر الحِلان والرخام، وقد اعتني بخطوطها، وبزخارفها إلى حد يبعث عن الإعجاب بروعة الخط وجمال الزخرفة ودقة الحفر، حتى يمكن القول أن خطوط هذه الشواهد تمثل مدرسة فنية خاصة بين مدارس الخط في العالم الإسلامي.
