عندما تشتمل الأفعال الأخلاقية على أوامر ونواه، فلا مفرَ من ربط الأخلاق بالسياسة، وتوضّح الوصايا الأخلاقيّة الحميدة والسيّئة في السياسة بصورة عمليّة عدم القدرة على تفادي العلاقة المذكورة: لكن يبدو أن ما يقصده المؤيّدون لفصل الأخلاق عن السياسة؛ هو ربط الوجه الإيجابيّ والمطلق للقيم الأخلاقيّة بمقتضيات الفعل السياسي.
ربّما تكون هذه الإجابة نوعاً من التعليل الصوري؛ لكن يبقى السؤال الحقي عن الأسباب الأساسيّة وعوامل الإنفصال بين الأفعال الإراديّة (السياسيّة والأخلاقيّة) والمستويات المختلفة في حياة الفرد والمجتمع والوجود، دون إجابة، وإنّ أفضل جواب عن سؤال العلاقة بين الأخلاق والسياسة هو اعتبارهما متساويين في مستوى (الإختياريّة) والدفاع عن حياة الإنسان المنسجمة، وإختلافهما في مستوى آخر: فالهدف في حدّ ذاته هو الأخلاق والقيم السامية على الرغم من ضرورة معرفة الوجود ومعرفة غايته (التقدم القيمي) وكونها مقيّدة ومرتبطة بالأفعال السياسيّة أو السلطة (التقدم من ناحية المرتبة).
من وجهة نظر معرفة أوضاع السلطة، إذا كان الفعل السياسي عن إقتناع وذا أهميّة، فإنه أجدر بأن يقايس أخلاقيّاً عمّا إذا كان الفعل بالإرغام، والتهديد، والإغواء.
إنّ الإطمئنان للجوانب الأخلاقية للسياسة يقع ضمن إطار النقد الفعّال والمراقبة المستمرة من قبل المؤسسات المدنية وخاصّة الأخلاقيّة والدينيّة في المجتمع.
