طوال التاريخ ظلت جماعة الإخوان المسلمين مثيرة للجدل بسبب أفكارها أحياناً أو صدامها مع الأنظمة الحاكمة أحيانًا أخرى.. في هذا الكتاب يتعرض المؤلف لظاهرتين من داخل الجماعة.. الأولى هي كشوف البركة أو بدلات التفرغ التي يحصل عليها قادة الجماعة شهريًا نظير عملهم الدعوي.. والثانية هي المحاكمات الداخلية التي تجريها الجماعة لأبنائها الخارجين عن طاعتها والذين تكون جريمتهم الوحيدة.. في الغالب- أنهم حاولوا أن يفهموا فاعتبرتهم الجماعة خارجين على مبدأ السمع والطاعة!! ونعتقد ان اللبس الذي يحيط بماهية الجماعة وهل هي دعوية دينية أم جماعة سياسية هو السبب الرئيسي لكل الأزمات التي يتعرض بلها الإخوان بين حين وآخر.. هذا الكتاب يكشف الحقيقة ويزيل هذا الالتباس..
وكما بعض الدول، تفعل جماعة الإخوان، فإذا كانت الدول تخفي وثائقها وتحيطها بالسرية وتضع عدداً من السنوات للكشف عنها، فإن جماعة الإخوان تسعى دائماً إلى إخفاء جميع وثائقها، إلا انها- كعكس الدول- لا تسمح أبداً بالإفراج عن هذه الوثائق، ولكن الكاتب استطاع معرفة ما الذي يدور داخل جماعة الإخوان أو ما حدث لقلبها؟ والقلب كما يقول العلماء قلب، وما سمي القلب قلباً إلا من تقلبه فاحذر على القلب من قلب وتحويل، وحين اكتملت الوثائق لدى الكاتب كان هذا الكتاب.
أما الكاتب فهو أحد شباب الصحفببن الذين جعلوا لأنفسهم مكاناً ومكانة في فترة وجيزة في مهنة البحث عن المتاعب، أعرفه منذ ان بدأ وأدركت منذ عرفته أن سيكون في يوم ما احد الكبار في عالم الصحافة والكتابة، فهو صاحب أسلوب متميز يجمع بين رشاقة العبارة والقدرة على التشويق، وهو اي الكاتب، فوق ذلك شخصية عامرة بالمودة والنجابة، عامر محمود ذلك الصعيدي المشاغب الذي من فرط تقديري لمشاغباته الصحفية لا أنفك حين أقابله أن أقول له: ربنا يجعله "عامر".
