تحت عنوان "صدمة" تقول الشاعرة غانم: "عند سقوطنا في هوة الواقع... الوعرة... أو بعد عودتنا إلى وعينا... من سفر حلم... أو جزيرة أمل... تصاب الروح برضوض... تخشى بعدها ارتطام أي مشاعر... ساهية بها".
وفي خاطرة أخرى بعنوان: "سرج الأماني" تقول: "يمر العمر مسرعاً على صهوة... جواد الليل... ممتطياً سرج الأماني... قاطعاً بحار الواقع... وأيامي تتململ بأسرار القادم منها... أفق وحيدة لإستقبال المساء... وقد مضى نهاري إنتظاراً".
هي خواطر متوقدة بالحدة الذهنية، والكثافة العاطفية والجمال... جمال التعب في عيون تبحث عن أحلام عبرت، لن يجدي بعدها إنتظار.
يضم الكتاب عدداً من الخواطر الشعرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "لك عمري"، "الحب"، "أبي"، "أمي"، "الأمس"، "تراني جسد"، "وقت"... "نسيان"... "وصال"... "ملكة"... "مطر"... وعناوين أخرى.
