السيد محمد الموسوي الشيرازي (سلطان الواعظين) رجل دين إيراني اشتهر بالوعظ والخطابة والمناظرة.
ولد سلطان الواعظين في السابع من شهر ذي القعدة عام 1314هـ في مدينة طهران، وذهب الى العتبات المقدسة في العراق، وسافر الى العديد من الدول؛ كمصر وسورية ولبنان والاردن وفلسطين والهند، وكان أهمّها السفر الى مدينة بيشاور الباكستانية وعقده مجالس المناظرات هناك وهي التي تسببت بشهرته منذ ذلك الحين. وبالاضافة الى مجال السيد محمد الموسوي الشيرازي (سلطان الواعظين) رجل دين إيراني اشتهر بالوعظ والخطابة والمناظرة.
ولد سلطان الواعظين في السابع من شهر ذي القعدة عام 1314هـ في مدينة طهران، وذهب الى العتبات المقدسة في العراق، وسافر الى العديد من الدول؛ كمصر وسورية ولبنان والاردن وفلسطين والهند، وكان أهمّها السفر الى مدينة بيشاور الباكستانية وعقده مجالس المناظرات هناك وهي التي تسببت بشهرته منذ ذلك الحين. وبالاضافة الى مجالسه للوعظ والتبليغ، كان يناقش علماء الفرق والمذاهب أيضاً؛ كما حاور علماء الهند بحضور غاندي المناضل المعروف للاستعمار الانجليزي، وفي النهاية توفي عام 1391هـ عن عمر يناهز الـ 75 في طهران ووارى الثرى في مقبرة ابي حسين في مدينة قم.

أجمع علماء الأمة على ضرورة التقريب بين المذاهب ونبذ الفرقة الناشئة عن إساءة كل فريق الظن بالآخر، ودعوا إلى النظر في ما يقرب بينما المسلمين ويجمع كلمتهم. والبدر الأزهر كتاب يجمع مناظرات تمت بين السيد محمد الموسوي الشيرازي مع علماء يشاور، وهي مناظرات تدور في أغلبها حول عقائد الشيعة ويفند خلالها ما ذهب إليه أهل السنة والجماعة في كثير من الأمور التي وردت في الصحاح.
والمحقق السيد "حسين الموسوي الفالي، أدرك المؤلف وحظر مواعظة ومجالس وقد أخذ على عاتقه ترجمة هذا الكتاب من الفارسية إلى العربية وهدفه من ذلك أن يفهمه كل عالم وعامي وأن يترك أثراً إيجابياً في الجميع، وقد بلغ من أمانته أنه ترجم الكتاب بما حواه من العبارات المكررة والألفاظ الزائدة قبل أن يعمد إلى تنقيحه في هذه الطبعة الجديدة.
