تقدم دار الفكر سلسلة كتب "نلعب ونتعلم" لتلاميذ المرحلة الإبتدائية، بأسلوب جديد في الشكل والمضمون.
اعتمدت السلسلة على المعطيات الأساسية لعلم التربية الحديث؛ في تدريب التلاميذ على مهارات القراءة والكتابة والحوار والإستماع، وتعويدهم طريقة التفكير السليم من خلال العمليات العقلية الإستقرائية والإستنتاجية والتحليلية والتركيبة.
وابتعدت السلسلة في مجملها عن الصفة المحليّة؛ في سبيل تقديمها لتلاميذ اللغة العربية كلهم على إمتداد أقطارهم، ومن هنا اختارت الموضوعات العامة التي لا تخص بلداً بعينه.
كان من المفيد جداً إدراج الحكايات الشعبية المشهورة، والقصص الدارجة في البيئة العربية، وعرضها بالطريقة اللغوية المناسبة للعمر، وعلى نحو مشوّق.
هذا فضلاً عن المقطوعات الشعرية المبسطة، وكل أولئك جاء مرتبطاً بالقيم الأساسية التي يحتاجها الطفل لتكوين شخصيته المتوازنة، ولإرتكازه على مجموعة من الأخلاق والفضائل التي تؤثر في بنائه النفسي.
جهدت الدار في إخراج السلسلة على نحو جذاب لتسخر الصورة والأشكال، وتستثمرها في خدمة الموضوع الذي يتناوله كل درس.
