البروفسور الأب يوسف مونّس (أنتربولوغ): من مواليد بلدة الشبانية في 15 آذار 1938، حاز على إجازة تعليمية في الفلسفة وفي اللاهوت من جامعة الروح القدس الكسليك، وشهادة الدراسات العليا في الألسنية والأنتولوجيا ودكتوراه في علم الإجتماع والإنسان من جامعة ستراسبورغ في فرنسا.
أستاذ علم الإجتماع والأنتروبولوجيا في الجامعة اللبنانية وجامعة الروح القدس الكسليك التي تولَّى رئاستها بين العامين 1999 و 2002.
حائز من الدولة الفرنسية على وسام الشرف من رتبة فارس سنة 1993 ووسام السعفة الأكاديمية سنة 2002، وجائزة كمال المر، ووسام الأرز الوطني من رتبة فارس.
في جعبته عشرات المؤلّفات والأبحاث في الأنتروبولوجيا والليتورجيا وعلم الإجتماع وأكثر من 30 مسرحية وبرنامجاً تلفزيونياً.
"البدايات المهدوية": البدايات المَهْدَوية كتاب بدايات الكتابات الأنتروبولوجية والإجتماعية والفكرية والفلسفية والإنسانية.
معظم الكتابات اشتقاقات أنتروبولوجية لم تكن بعد متداولة، لأن علم الأنتروبولوجية لم يكن قد انفصل عن علم الإجتماع، ولم تكن الجامعات ابتدأت بتدريسه كمادةٍ مميّزة عن تدريس المناهج الجامعية.
كان همّي إبراز أهمّية هذا العلم وفرادته وأهمّيته في دراسة الإنسان، كلّ الإنسان، لأن الإنتوغرافيا كانت تقف عند حقلٍ أكاديميٍ محصور، وكذلك بعدها الإتنولوجيا، إلى أن أتت الأنتروبولوجيا وأخذت تدرس هذه الظاهرة الإجتماعية في كلّيتها، وفي جميع مظاهرها الطقوسية، وأنماط سلوكها الإجتماعية والنفسية والإنسانية وفولكلورها وتقاليد مائدتها وشعائر موتها ودفنها.
