كثير من تلك الكتب التي أعان الله على قراءتها لم يقدر لي لفت النظر آنذاك لتلخيصها، ورأيت أن لمعلومات المستفادة منها سرعان ما تتلاشى من الذاكرة، ولا سيما مع كثرة المشاغل والأعمال، فعزمت مؤخراً- سائلا من الله عز وجل الإعانة - على تتميم هذا العزم، أن لا أطالع كتابا مهما إلا حاولت تلخيص ما تيسر لي من فوائده، وكان بداية ذلك: مطالعة (البداية والنهاية) للامام ابن كثير- رحمه الله - واختصاره بما أرجو أن ينفع الله به، ثم كتاب (الحاوي للفتاوي ) للسيوطي - رحمه الله.
وهذه الرسالة المتواضعة مختصرة وأهم خلاصته، ولم أقصد تتبع كل ما في الكتاب من الشطحات، فقد يطول ذلك، إذ من خلال قراءتك لهذا الملخص يظهر لك -إن شاء الله- أن السيوطي متصوف، والصوفية كثيروا الزلقات، وبعضها أشد من بعض، ولكن ألمحت بهذه التنبيهات، إلى ما عداها ليكون القارىء على حذر من مثلها.
