لكن جيلاً جديداً من الفلسطينيين، ولد مزاملاً على المستوى الزمني جيلاً يحنّ الى أماكنه بدأ يقترب من الموت، هذا الجيل الذي اعتقد مرة، أنه سيرى المكان قبل أن يموت، فالفلسطيني الذي ولد عام "النكبة" ولم ير من فلسطين شيئاً، سيدخل الى برد الشيخوخة بعد سنوات وهو يحمل ذاكرة الفلسطيني الذي عاش تفاصيل المكان ووعي تضاريسه وغادر دفء الكهولة منذ زمن طويل ومنه من مات، ولعل تلك العلاقة المتوترة ما يفيض عن أسرار سور الصين، هي التي تملي على بعض الفلسطينيين وخاصة في السنوات الأخيرة أن يسجلوا أشياء منسقة، أو متناثرة، عن فلسطين التي قامت، أو عن ذاك المكان الذي خفق في ذاكرة تقترب من الإنطفاء.
