ولكن الإحاطة بهذه الحركات اقتضت تناولها من زاوية نظر أوسع بكثير تأخذ بعين الإعتبار البيئة الجغرافية التي تتخطى الجانب العربي من الخليج، وتأخذ هذه الحركات أيضاً في سياق جغرافي - سياسي أكبر من تلك الحلبات المحلية، لا بل وحتى من زاوية رؤية تاريخية أقدم بكثير من مجرد ملاحظة الحقبة المعاصرة، والحركات المبحوثة في هذا الكتاب نبعث أساساً من منظمات عراقية، وهي كانت، وبعضها ما يزال، ترتبط مباشرة بمرجعيات دينية مقيمة في العراق أو إيران.
