تعرف مفهوم التعابير الاصطلاحية والمصطلحات المستخدمة للتعبير عنه لدى الدراسين العرب والأوروبيين وجمع التعابير الاصطلاحية الواردة فى اساس البلاغة واستكشاف الصور المجازية للتعابير الاصطلاحية وتصنيف هذه التعابير الاصطلاحية فى مجالاتها الدلالية. بالإضافة إلى توضيح العلاقات الدلالية القائمة بين هذه التعابير الاصطلاحية كما يطمح الباحث إلى أن تكون مادة هذا البحث نواة لمعجم عربى للتعابير الاصطلاحية وهو بدوره لبنة فى تشييد صرح المعجم التاريخى للغة العربية، ومن ثم تأتي أهمية الكشاف المعجي للتعابير الاصطلاحية الموجودة في اساس البلاغة والمعنى بالبحث.
