يحيط هذا الكتاب بسيرة " فاطمة الزهراء " عليها السلام ( إحدى سَيِّداتِ أهل الجنة ) وقد اتبع مؤلف أ. د. نايف بن هاشم الدعيس البركاتي منهجاً عقلياً في تأليفه ، معرضاً عن كثير مما ورد عند الروائيين وأهل السير ، آخذاً بما كتبه المتقدمون والمتأخرون في سيرتها عليها السلام . يقول المؤلف : " وقد جمعت بعضاً من تلك الروايات فجعلتها شطراً من الكتاب على سبيل المثال والإطلاع دون نقد الروايات أو الكلام على رواتها ، مكتفياً بما كتبه علماء الرجال ونقاد الحديث مما لا يخفى على أحد من طلاب العلم ، راجياً من الله تعالى القبول ... " .
وبناءً على ما تقدم فقد تناول المؤلف سيرة السيدة " فاطمة الزهراء " عليها السلام بما يقبله العقل في أبواب مترادفة ، وأتبعها مما جمع من مسندها وقد بلغت متونه سبعاً وعشرين متناً إضافة إلى الأحاديث التي تخص فضائلها ، وبعض مما يجب التوقف عنده وإخضاعه للنقد العلمي والعقلي . وفي هذا السياق يحذر المؤلف " عوام الناس وكثيراً من المثقفين وطلاب العلم ممن يهجمون على الأحاديث بالرد والتضعيف والتكذيب بغير علم سوى ما درسوه وقرأوه في علم الرجال عن المتقدمين أو المتأخرين ، ويلزمهم تقوى الله تعالى حتى لا يردوا حديثاً قاله رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أو ينسبوا إليه ما لم يقله ، وإن مما ينبغي الإتعاظ به من سيرة البتول عليها السلام أحدها في الحياة الدنيا وطلبها الآخرة ... " .
