-العمل مع الفئات الشعبية، إذ لا ديموقراطية دون تنمية، فعلى المرء ان يشبع أولاً ومن ثم يتفلسف.
-الإلتزام بقضايا الشعوب العادلة، وفي المقدمة قضية فلسطين.
-النضال ضد إزدواجية المعايير خصوصاً بين الشرق والغرب.
-الكفاح من أجل توزيع عادل للثروات على الصعيدين الوطني والعالمي.
-العمل من أجل بناء دولة العدالة الإجتماعية حيث يكون القطاع العام مشرفاً على القطاع الخاص، وأن تكمل منظمات المجتمع المدني ما لم تنجزه الحكومات، وأن تشكل قوة ضاغطة من أجل تصويب السياسات لمصلحة الفئات الشعبية والمهمشة.
تساهم "عامل" في إعادة تأسيس تيار تقدمي معاصر يتسع للشباب والشابات، يعيد إختراع العمل السياسي المطلبي مشكَّلَةً أنموذجاً للتغيير في لبنان وفي العالم العربي، عبر إلتزام المناضلين، ومهنية المحترفين، وعقلانية المثقفين.
