ولقد بدأت تطبيقات التجارة الالكترونية فى أوائل السبعينيات من القرن الماضى وكانت أكثرها شهرة هى تطبيق التحويلات الالكترونية للأموال وتلا ذلك التبادل الالكترونى للبيانات ثم ظهرت تطبيقات أخرى مثل بيع وشراء الأسهم وتذاكر السفر عبر النت.. ومع جعل الانترنت مادة مالية وربحية وانتشارها ونموها إلى الملايين من البشر فإن مصطلح التجارة الالكترونية خرج إلى النورسارت خدمات التجارة الالكترونية متقدمة ومتكاملة تتيح للشركات العاملة الاستفادة من حلول الويب.
وأخيراً فإننى أتمنى من الله سبحانه وتعالى أن أكون قد وفقت من خلال هذا المرجع فى القاء بعض جوانب الضوء على التجارة الالكترونية ذلك المساق الذى تميز بالندرة فى المكتبات العربية.
