وقد دلت كثير من الدراسات والأبحاث على أن كيمياء المقياس الدقيق في عملية التعليم تسرع عملية التعلم وتعطي نتائج إيجابية مع تمتع ورغبة للمتعلم بتعلم الكيمياء، وكل ما نحتاجه هو تقديم هذه الطريقة في إعداد التجارب العملية مع مراعاة جانب السلامة والتوافق مع مبادئ الكيمياء الخضراء مساهمة في حماية البيئة.
إن الحاجة ماسة الآن إلى التأكيد على أهمية العلوم بشكل عام والكيمياء بشكل خاص ونشر الوعي لدى أفراد المجتمع عن دور علم الكيمياء الخظراء في معالجة التلوث (لا التسبب بحدوثه) وتطوير التفاعلات وكذلك إستحداث مناهج دراسية تهتم بالكيمياء الخظراء وتجعل منها عنصراً أساسياً في المستقبل الكيمياء الخضراء تمثل منحى جديداً في العلوم والتكنولوجيا فالكيمياء سوف يكون لها دور مهم نحو حل المشاكل البيئية بطريقة جذرية.
من هنا، عمد الدكتور عمر العبيدي على ترجمة كتاب "التدريس المتقدم وخبرات التعليم لكيمياء المقياس الدقيق للمؤلفين دي برادلي وجي سبريغز، وقد تم إعداد هذا الكتاب من تجارب الكيمياء العضوية بالتعاون مع اليونسكو و IOCD و IUPA.
وقد تم تقسيم الكتاب إلى خمسة فصول كالتالي: الفصل الأول: "خواص وتصنيف المواد"، الفصل الثاني: "التغيير الكيميائي للمواد"، الفصل الثالث: "التفاعلات الكيميائية لعناصر معينة"، الفصل الرابع: "الذرة"، الفصل الخامس: "معدلات سرعة التفاعل والإتزان الكيميائي".
