من بين الأسماء التي تركت توقيعها على صفحات التراث العربيَ المسيحي، اسم الأسقف المارونيَ جرمانس فرحات الذي كان "الرئيس العامَ السابق للرهبان الموارنة البلديين وكان عالماً لغوياً ومعجمياً ومتضلعاً من الروحانية الشرقيَة والغربيَة، وعقائدياً مدافعاً للاهوت المسيحي". إن أهمية هذا الأسقف ذي الإنتاج الخصب والذي ترك للأجيال أكثر من مائة مؤلَف، حثَت الأب سليم دكَاش اليسوعي، على نبش مخطوط له كام قد نقل فيه بنهاية حياته، من اللاتينية إلى العربيَة، تفسيراً للمزمور 50 وفقاً للترقيم اليونانيَ، و51 وفقاً لترقيم السبعينية. وهو مزمور "إرحمني يا الله" Miserere وهو تفسير يعود مصدره إلى راهب دومينيكي يدعى جيرولامو سافونارولا.
هذا النص يتيح للقارس الغوص في تأمل عميق ممَا يجعله مرجعاً ينهل منه كلَ مرافق روحي، وكلَ من يلتمس رياضة روحية.
