وقام هذا البحث على عدة مباحث بعد مقدمة وتمهيد ثم خاتمة وفهارس، بينت في المقدمة أسباب الاختيار والمنهج الذي قام عليه البحث، وفي التمهيد عرفت بالأزهري تعريفاً موجزاً، لشهرته، وتعرفت على منهجه من كتابه، وأما المبحث الأول: فقد جعلته لأختيار الأزهري عن بعض القراءات، وكان ضمن هذه الدفاعات القراءات الشاذة التي دفعتني إلى أن أخصص لها مبحثاً مستقلاً، وجعلته بعنوان: شواذ الأزهري، وهو المبحث الثالث، ثم جاء الدور على المبحث الرابع الأصيل، وهو نقود الأزهري للقراء، وقسمته إلى قسمين، الأول: نقود موجهة إلى قارئ بعينه، وجعلته تحت عنوان: نقود فردية، والثانى: نقود جماعية، أي: نقود إلى مجموعة من القراء بدءاً من اثن، ثم اودعت فى الخاتمة أهم النتائج التى أسفرت عنها هذه الدراسة وفى كل هذه المباحث والأقسام ابديت وجهة نظري وعلقت وناقشت لنتوصل إلى الحقيقة ورأي مقنع بالدليل ومؤكد بالحجة والبرهان، ولم تأت مناقشاتى وتعليقاتى من فراغ، بل من بطون مصادر ومراجع اسعنت بها ورجعت إليها، أثبتها فى نهاية البحث.
