أحداث مفجعة حدثت من مئات السنين ولكنها تركت آثارا لا تمحوها السنين في جسد الأمة الإسلامية تلك الاحداث هى الفتنة الكبرى ومقتل الخليفة الراشد عثمان بن عفان ذو النورين وصاحب رسول الله عليه الصلاة والسلام ورفيقه في الجنة بإذن الله فعند مقله كما هو ثابت كان رضى الله عنه يقرأ في آيات الله الكريمة من مصحفه الشخصي الذي كان قد خطه بيمينه وفي هذا الكتاب دراسة وبحث قامت به المؤلفة حول مسيرة هذا المصحف الشخصي والتى تتبعتها من بلد إلى آخر ومن دولة إلى دولة ومن عهد إلى عهد دراسة وممحصة للروايات والادعاءات التى قيلت في هذه القصة وقد بدأت كتابها ببداية جمع المصحف في عهد الصديق أبي بكر رضى الله عنه وصولا إلى آخر انباء وكتابات تتبعت المصحف الشريف. كذلك مرفقا في نفس الكتاب ترجمة للإنجليزية لهذا البحث حتى تتم الفائدة التى رجتها المؤلفة من هذا العمل القيم.
