تناولت هذه الدراسة الوسائل القانونية لتسوية منازعات عقد الفيدك، وذلك على النحو الذي يقدمه الإتحاد الدولي للمهندسين الإستشاريين المعروف إختصاراً بالفيدك (FIDIC) من خلال التعديلات الأخيرة لعقد الفيدك النموذجي للمقاولات.
وتقدم الدراسة نتيجة أساسية مفادها أن الأثر المباشر لهذه الوسائل هو التقليل من التعقيدات والمخاطر التي كثيراً ما ارتبطت بمنازعات الأطراف في المشروع الإنشائي، من خلال توفير هياكل تعاقدية مشتركة ومسبقة تعمل على تجاوز العقبات التي قد تعترض تنفيذ المشاريع الهندسية عبر الحدود، وخصوصاً أن غالبية أطراف عقود الإنشاءات الدولية تميل إلى إستخدام وثائقها التعاقدية الخاصة والمتأثرة بقوانينها الوطنية، فنجد بأن معظم القوانين الوطنية قامت بإعتماد نظام عقود الفيدك الموحد بعد أن أصبحت عقود الفيدك مصدراً مهماً وأساسياً ضمن المراجع الدولية في حقل الإنشاءات.
