قد حاولت جهدي في هذا الكتاب أن تكون مادته مستمدة من كتاب الله العزيز وكتب الأحاديث والسنن وإن لم يكن فمن كتب السيرة المعتمدة وكان يحدو قلمي فيما يكتب الحديث الشريف فيما رواه ابن ماجه عن أبي هريرة عن النبي "صلى الله عليه وسلم" قال: (من تقول على ما لم أقل فليتبوأ مقعده من النار) وما رواه البخاري عن الإمام علي موقوفًا: (حدثوا الناس بما يعرفون اتحبوه أن يكذب الله ورسوله ؟!) وفي رواية أبي نعيم في الحلية ودعوا ما ينكرون وتركوا ما يشتبه عليهم فهمه.
