هناك مفاهيم خاطئة عند الناس، وخاصة المتدينين منهم، بأن الضحك والتبسم صفات لا تليق بالمسلم، وأن المسلم لا بد أن يكون حازمًا في تصرفاته ويبعد عن أي مزاح، وهذه المفاهيم كما قلت خاطئة، فقد مزح النبي "صلى الله عليه وسلم" مع أصحابه وضحك في مواقف، وتبسم في أخرى، وأمر المسلم أن يكون طلق الوجه بشوشه، ويبتسم في وجه أخيه فقال: [تبسمك في وجه أخيك لك صدقة]. وكان "صلى الله عليه وسلم" ضحكه التبسم، وما كان يكذب أبدًا، فكان كل مزاحه صدقًا.
ومن صفات المسلم أنه يكون بشوش الوجه، فعن ذي النون المصري قال: المؤمن بشره في وجهه، هشاش بشاش... بسام.
لذا أضع بين يدي القارئ الكريم هذا الكتاب (مائة ضحكة وابتسامة للنبي "صلى الله عليه وسلم") حتى يلمس بنفسه مواقف وأحداث ضحك فيها "صلى الله عليه وسلم" وتبسم، فيبتسم ويضحك معه "صلى الله عليه وسلم"، لعله أن يكون له فرجة من هم أو كرب، فيذهب به همه، وينكشف كربه.
