هذه أربع كتب "من الروائع" من نفيس ما ترك لنا أئمتنا الأقدمون (رضي الله عنهم، وجزاهم بما صنعوا أحسن الجزاء) ، وقد طبعت هذه الكتب الصفوة الجياد مراراً، متفرقة ومجتمعة، فأشار على بعض الإخوان الأحبة، أن أعيد طبعها مصححة متقنة، فأجبته إلى ما أشار به، وعنيت بتصحيحها ما إستطعت، وأعانني على ذلك شقيقي الشيخ "علي محمد شاكر" حفظه الله.
وبذلك ما في وسعي من جهد، في تحقيق نصوص أولها وأولاها بذلك، وهو كتاب "العمدة في الأحكام" ، للـ "حافظ عبد الغني المقدسي" ، إذ هو من نصوص أحاديث رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ، مما إتفق على إخراجه أصح الكتب الصحاح: صحيحا البخاري ومسلم، وقد حققته بالمقابلة بمخطوطات من شرح ابن دقيق العيد، أحدها مصور عن أصل نفيس معتمد حجة، نقل عن نسخة عمدة، وصفتها بإسهاب، في مقدمة الشرح.
