خالد خليفة (ولد عام 1964 في أورم الصغرى حلب). روائي سوري وشاعر وكاتب سيناريو ومقالات أدبية جذبت روايته مديح الكراهية اهتمام وسائل الاعلام في جميع أنحاء العالم حيث وصلت الرواية للقائمة القصيرة في الجائزة العالمية للرواية العربية في دورتها الأولى في عام 2008. ترجمت روايته إلى اللغات ( الفرنسية، الإيطالية، الألمانية، النروجية، الإنكليزية، الإسبانية).
السيرة الذاتية
درس في جامعة حلب وحصل على ليسانس في القانون في عام 1988، يكتب الشعر وهو عضو في المنتدى الأدبي في الجامعة. كتب خليفة دراما تلفزيونية مثل مسلسل (قوس قزح) و (سيرة آل الجلالي) وبعض الأفلام الوثائقية والأفلام القصيرة، والأفلام الروائية الطويلة (فلم باب المقام). أسس مع أصدقاءه في جامعة حلب مجلة ألف، أول رواية له هي حارس الخديعة ونشرت في عام 1993. روايته الثانية هي دفاتر القرباط وعلى أثرها تم تجميد عضويته من قبل اتحاد الكتاب العرب لمدة 4 سنوات بعد أن نشر الرواية في عام 2000.
قضى خليفة ثلاثة عشر سنة في كتابة رواية مديح الكراهية، وهي رواية تتكلم عن كيفية تأثر حياة افراد اسرة سورية بالحرب الدائرة بين النظام السوري والإخوان المسلمون، ونشر فيها ما جرى لجماعة الاخوان المسلمون في حماة. وقد نشرت في دمشق قبل أن يتم حظرها، ولاحقاً تم إعادة نشرها في بيروت. حيث يعلق على الحظر قائلاً "هذا النوع من الحظر للروايات، يأتي نتيجة البيروقراطية التي لا تمثل مستويات رفيعة من الحكومة." وبأنه يفضل التفاوض بين الفنانين والسلطات السورية من أجل ضمان حرية التعبير.
صرح بأن عمله لا يقصد مناصرة أي فكر سياسي، وفي الرد على روايته مديح الكراهية قال "قبل كل شيء، لقد كتبت هذه الرواية من أجل الدفاع عن الشعب السوري، وسعياً للاحتجاج على المعاناة التي تحملوها نتيجة ذلك من العقائد الدينية والسياسية التي حاولت نفي حضارتهم العائدة لعشر آلاف سنة."
في السادس من شهر آذار فرض اسمه كالمرشح العربي الوحيد لنيل جائزة الإندبندنت لأدب الخيال الأجنبي.
مشاركته في الثورة السورية
عرف خليفة بمواقفه المناصرة للثورة السورية منذ لحظة انطلاقها، ولم يخف ذلك أبداً حيث أكد في أكثر من مناسبة مشروعيتها كخيار لا بديل عنه في مواجهة الظلم. كما سبق أن تعرض للضرب حتى كسرت يده خلال اعتداء أجهزة الأمن السورية عليه أثناء مشاركته في تشييع الموسيقي السوري ربيع غزي في 26 أيار 2012.
