"هنرى بوردو" عضو الأكاديمية الفرنسية.. وأحد "الخالدين" كما يطلق على أعضاء ذلك المجمع الأدبى العالمى –هو أحد اثنين أو ثلاثة من أدباء فرنسا "المخضرمين" الباقين على قيد الحياة من جيل الفحول القدامى الذين تساقطوا واحدا بعد الآخر, وكان آخرهم "أندريه جيد"..
ورغم شيخوخة "بوردو" فإنه لا يزال يرفع علم الجهاد الأدبى ويوالى إنتاجه الفكرى بخصوبة ونشاط نادرين!.. وقد أصدر أخيرا هذا الكتاب الممتع الذى أطلق عليه "ملكات.. ونساء", وتناول فيه بالدراسة والتحليل عددا من أشهر شخصيات التاريخ النسائية, فخص كلا منهن بفصل ممتع وفاها فيه حقها بأسلوبه الشائق وتفكيره المتعمق الرصين.
ويبدأ الكتاب بهذا الفصل الذى جمع فيه بوردو بين رواية سيرة "بيرينيس" –الملكة, والمرأة –كما سجلها التاريخ. وبين تلخيص المأساة المسرحية الشعرية الخالدة التى وضعها عنها شاعر فرنسا القديم (راسين)... ثم تتبع ببصيرته الأدبيه النافذة, شخصية بيرينيس المستترة فى نفسية الكثيرات من بطلات القصص والأعمال الأدبية الكبرى –سواء فى الأدب الفرنسى أو الآداب الأوروبية الأخرى –فعقد المقارنة الشائقة بينها وبين "شارلوت بطلة "آلام فرتر", و "مدام كوايان", و"مدام أرنو", و "مدام دى نييفر", فى قصص "سانت بيف" و "فلوبير"..
